Celeste Haynes Smith

Celeste Haynes Smith, 55, of Brandywine, Maryland, native of Eden, NC, wife of Lynn Reagan, sister of Venecia Smith Collins, unexpectedly passed away April 3, 2022.

The family will hold a memorial to celebrate her life at a later date, to be announced.

Celeste was born June 25, 1966. She was a 1984 graduate of Morehead High School. She honorable served in the United States Navy from 1986-1992. After returning home to Eden, she was employed by the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Department for 15 years, then Ruger for 2 years.

Celeste was preceded in death by her parents, Luther Smith and Almeria Smith Stewart; grandparents, Harry and Catherine Haynes.

She leaves behind her wife, Lynn Reagan; sister, Venecia Collins; nephew, Nathaniel Sheriff; nieces, Kaitlyn, Kasey and Kassidy Collins; great-nieces, Meena Collins Bacon and Eva Goldring; her aunt and uncle Daniel and Helga Gillespie; uncles, Harry B Haynes, Jr. of Sherman, Texas and Philip Haynes of Fredericksburg, Va.
