Carolyn Page

Carolyn Page, 64, of 102 Clark Street in Eden, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2018, at Hospice Home of Rockingham County.

A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, February 15th at Hickory Grove United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Carolyn was born March 11, 1953 in Rockingham County, NC, to the late Lloyd Marion Page and Daisy Steward Page.  She was a 1971 graduate of Ruffin High School and a 1973 graduate of the RCC Nursing Program.  Carolyn first worked as a company nurse for E. I. DuPont and later for Morehead Memorial Hospital, as well as, Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro.  She loved playing music at The Barn and was a member of the Heart Strings group.  Carolyn also had her own comedy act, "Elvira".

She is survived by her two sisters, Linda Page Richardson of Jamestown and Nancy Raines of Eden;  brother, David Page of Ruffin;  special nieces and nephews, Sheila Page, Debbie Hutchinson, Tish Wells, Allison Page, Mike Page, Julie Raines, Lisa Frissen, Pam Smith and Brian Hyler;  her God-daughter, Ashlee Richardson;  and special friends and caregivers, Debbie & Jerry Wilson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Jimmy and Douglas Page, Doris Marie Page, Allen R. Page and Shirley Hyler.
