Carolyn Hope Hollifield Hopkins

Carolyn Hope Hollifield Hopkins, 76, of Eden went to be with Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior, Thursday, July 7, 2022 at Hospice of Rockingham County.

A graveside service will be held at 11am Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Reidsville, NC. Family will receive friends following the graveside service and other times at the home of Janet Jones, 1501 Lincoln St, Eden NC 27288.

Carolyn was born September 5, 1945, in Rockingham County, NC, to the late Hoyte Hollifield and Mary Magdalene Dixon Hollifield. She last attended Lighthouse Full Gospel Church. She worked as a winder at Spray Cotton Mills. Carolyn loved the Lord. She was a very caring and sweet person that would do anything for you. She was a loving and caring mother. Carolyn loved her family.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, David Lee Hopkins (Carol) of Ruffin; sister, Janet Jones (Ronnie) of Eden; foster-sisters, Gloria Gauldin (Walter) of Eden, Shirley Morris of Eden, Kathy Wyatt of Eden; sisters-in-law, Betty Hollifield of Texas, Eileen Hollifield of Eden; a foster sister-in-law, Iris Dixon of Eden; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her brothers, Jerry Hollifield and Wayne Hollifield; sister, Wanda Sams and foster brother, James Dixon.
