Carolyn Chilton Lanier

Carolyn Faye Chilton Lanier, 59, passed away on September 29, 2017 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital. 

A graveside service will be held at 2pm Monday, October 2, 2017 at Overlook Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Fair Funeral Home from 1-1:45pm, prior to the service.

Lanier was born on May 24, 1958 to the late Raymond and Mollie Chilton in Rockingham County. She worked for Fieldcrest Blanket Millis as a sewing machine operator. Carolyn loved her family dearly and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her two sons Brandon Belton (Allison) of Stokesdale, Matthew Lanier (Brianna) of Madison; two grand daughters, Blakeleigh and Addilynn Belton; four brothers, Paul Chilton (Audrey), Dale Chilton (Pam), Ronald Chilton, and Gary Chilton; and one sister, Gayle Chilton Hand.

 In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her two brothers, Randall “Randy” Keith Chilton, and James Stephen Chilton.
