Caroline Weadon Grubb, 86, of 707 Summit Circle of Eden, passed away Friday morning, October 25, 2013, at Jacob's Creek Nursing Center in Madison.
A cryptside service will be held at 2 PM on Monday afternoon at Overlook Mausoleum in Overlook Cemetery.
Mrs. Grubb was born September 5, 1927 in Spray, NC. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Aleck Weadon and Iris Elizabeth Jones Weadon. Mrs. Grubb was a member of Trinity Wesleyan Church and friend of the Wentworth Presbyterian Church and a retiree of Fieldcrest Mills.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan Irving and husband, Leon, of Madison; son, David William Grubb, Jr. and wife, Dorothy, of Monroe; four grandchildren, Paul William Grubb and Luke Thomas Grubb, both of Monroe, Iris Lane Irving and husband, Jordan Myers, of Raleigh, and J. L. Irving, Jr. of Seattle, WA; and two nieces, Joan Strutton and husband, Steve, of Eden and Barbara Hall and husband, Jerry of Wallace, SC.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David William "Red" Grubb; sisters, Inez Light, Myrtle Earles, Margaret Taylor, Polly Adams, and June Rawlings; and brothers, Robert "Pete" Weadon, Claude "Buck" Weadon, Clarence Weadon, and Paul "Curly" Weadon.
The family will receive friends Sunday evening, 5 - 7 pm, at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter, 1028 NC 704 in Madison.
