Carol Ann Rhodes Priddy

Carol Ann Rhodes Priddy, 69, of Stoneville, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at Hospice Home of Rockingham County.

A funeral service will be held at 1pm Friday, January 27, 2023, at First Baptist Church of Stoneville with burial to follow at Ridgeview Memorial Gardens in Eden. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 26, 2023, from 5-7pm, at Fair Funeral Home in Eden. The family will receive friends at other times at her home, 781 River Rd, Stoneville, NC.

Carol Ann was born January 23, 1954, in Leaksville, NC, to the late William Henry Rhodes, Sr. and Ann Sims Rhodes Cooper. She was a member of Trinity Assembly Church in Archdale, but grew up at First Baptist Church of Stoneville. She was a graduate of Stoneville High School, class of ’72. Carol Ann was the owner and director of Honeycomb Child Development Center in Mayodan, and later worked as director of the child care center at Morehead Hospital in Eden. She enjoyed working in her flower garden and watching the red birds.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Hassell F. Priddy, Jr. of the home; daughter, Kristin P. Edwards (Lee) of Mayodan; son, Hassell Andrew Priddy of Stoneville; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers, Anthony Rhodes (Debbie) of Eden, William Rhodes (Rinda) of Eden; special nieces and nephews; numerous cousins.

The family would like to thank special friend, Dana Atwood.

In addition to her parents, Carol Ann is preceded in death by her son, Jason Michael Priddy; granddaughter, Grace Ann Cummings.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Wesley Long Cancer Center and the Hospice Home of Rockingham County for their care and compassion during this time.
