Carl Leon Pulliam

Carl Leon Pulliam, 62, of 1710 Lincoln Street, passed away Monday morning, October 4, 2010 at Morehead Memorial Hospital. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, October 6, at Willis Memorial Baptist Church in Cascade, VA. Burial will follow in Ridgeview Memorial Gardens. A native of Rockingham County, Mr. Pulliam was born November 17, 1947, son of the late Coy and Mary Stone Pulliam. He was a member of Willis Memorial Baptist Church and had worked for Fieldcrest Mills for 35 years. Surviving are his two daughters, Cathy P. Denny and husband, Randy of Cascade, VA, and Sandy P. Torres and husband, Juan of Bassett, VA; son, Carl Pulliam, Jr. of Eden; six grandchildren, Zachary Pulliam, Jonathan Gabriel Pulliam, Alexander Pulliam, Kaitlin Nicole Pulliam, Linda Kay Pulliam, and Robert Jones Denny; brother, Danny Ray Pulliam of Eden; and sister, Debra Cardwell of Madison. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Kay Mitchell Pulliam. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday (10 - 11 AM) at Willis Memorial Baptist Church and other times at the residence.
