Bruce Graham Parker was born December 17th, 1952. Bruce passed away Saturday, August 31st, 2024 at Trident Medical Center in Charleston, South Carolina, after a courageous and lengthy battle with cancer. To say that his family and friends will miss him is an understatement. He was a beloved son, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend to many. He loved his family dearly, and considered them the most important aspect of his life.

Bruce graduated from Morehead High School in Eden, NC, in 1971. He retired after fifty years of service with Air Products where he won many safety awards. After retirement, Bruce moved to Surfside Beach, South Carolina, where he enjoyed his time fishing, boating, golfing, and traveling. One of his greatest and most enjoyable travels was to Alaska. Bruce was a history buff, and he worked for many years on a generational ancestry project tracing his family lineage. He loved museums and libraries of all kinds. His favorites were the Library of Congress, the National Art Gallery, the Wheels of Yesteryear, the Smithsonian, and the University of Georgia Special Collections Library. Bruce was a huge supporter of the North Carolina State Highway Patrol. He admired classic muscle cars, with his favorite being a 1952 Ford Thunderbird. He also loved his Starbucks Coffee, and was ready for any adventure after just one cup. For the last few years, his favorite activity was beating Abby in a game of Rummy.
