Brooksie Lee Higgins Lemons

Brooksie Lee Higgins Lemons, 82, of 1203 Carolina Avenue, passed away late Sunday night, January 8, 2012 at Morehead Nursing Center in Eden. A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, January 12, at Danview Cemetery. A native of Rockingam County, Draper area, Mrs. Lemons was born December 11, 1929. She was a homemaker. Surviving are her sisters-in-law, Arline Hopkins and Mabel Lemons, both of Eden; numerous cousins, special friends and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Alice Jarrett Higgins; husband, Richard "Pig" Lemons; and brother, Lindsey Higgins. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside. Memorial contributions may be made to Rockingham County, Humane Society, Boone Road in Eden, NC 27288.
