Brenda Ruth Cox, 73 of Starmount Nursing Center in Greensboro, went home to be with her heavenly father early Sunday morning, July 29, 2018 at Moses Cone Hospital.
There will be a private burial at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Ms. Cox was born on February 24, 1945 in Rockingham County to the late Perry Oscar Cox and the late Martha Campbell Cox. She was a 1963 graduate of John Motley Morehead High School and then attended Greensboro College for two years. Brenda worked for MB-F Inc as an Administrative Assistant until her health declined over the past years. She was of the Catholic Faith and a member of Our Lady of Grace Church in Greensboro, NC. Brenda enjoyed spending time with her Bichon Frise and loved every aspect of her job at MB-F Inc. and looked forward everyday to seeing everyone that worked there, she truly loved her job.
Ms. Cox is survived by her beloved work family at MB-F; the Bichon Rock Friends; a grand number of friends from around the country; her constant companion, Athena the Bichon Frise that was loving looked after by Debbie Mulcahy.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her brothers, Howard Oscar Cox and Percy Ray Cox and her sister, Mary Lee Cox.
Because of Ms. Cox’s love of her, Athena, the Bichon Frise, she has requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Brenda’s memory to the Bichon Frise Club of America Rescue; 4 Chartres Street; Brandon, MS 39047.
