Brenda McCall Harrington

Brenda Kay McCall Harrington, beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on October 14, 2026, at the age of 86.

Born in Concord, NC on October 6th, 1940, to the late Lee Roy McCall and Ruth Goins McCall, Brenda was a graduate of A.L Brown High School in Kannapolis, NC. Brenda met her husband, Jerry in May of 1965 and they were married on January 30th, 1966. Brenda and Jerry lived in Kannapolis, NC until Jerry took a job in Eden, NC in 1989.

Brenda had a love for shopping, jewelry and anything that sparkled. She loved dressing up and always had matching shoes and jewelry. Brenda and her husband, Jerry, traveled all over the world together, with cruises being among their favorite adventures. Brenda was a true spitfire who was never afraid to speak her mind. She had a strong personality, and a sharp wit. Those who knew Brenda knew that she would always tell you exactly what she thought.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee Roy McCall and Ruth Goins McCall, as well as her aunts and uncles.

She leaves behind her loving husband of 60 years, Jerry Harrington; her son, Rick Harrington (Sandra), her daughter, Penny Harrington Stevens (Mark), and her granddaughter, Colleen Stevens Blackburn (John) and grandson Trey Stevens.

Brenda was a faithful member of Trinity Wesleyan Church, where she attended regularly until her health began to decline.

The family would like to thank the staff at Ancora Compassionate Care and Eden Rehabilitation and Healthcare for the care they provided to Brenda.

The family would also like to thank special neighbors, Danny and Amanda Burgess for all they have done for Jerry and Brenda.

There will be no formal service.
