Bobby Lewis Wright, Sr.

Bobby Lewis Wright, Sr., 79, of Ridgeway, VA, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2024 at UNC Health Rockingham in Eden, NC.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, January 18, 2024, at 2pm at Fair Funeral Home Chapel in Eden with burial to follow Wright Family Cemetery in Ridgeway, VA. Visitation will be held

Wednesday, January 17, 2024, from 5-7pm at Fair Funeral Home.

Bobby raised 5 beautiful children with the love of his life, Patricia, of 50 years in his favorite place, Ridgeway, Virginia. He retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. after 30+ years of service. He was known for loving and spoiling his numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, his church family and every dog he met. Bobby married Donna Wright in 2017 and gained even more children and grandchildren to call his family. 

Bobby dedicated his life to the Lord. He was a devout Christian and a member of Morgan Ford Christian Church for over 50 years.

Bobby loved working with his hands, he was an avid woodworker and freely gave his projects away. He was always ready and willing to help at the church and faithfully tended the grounds. He enjoyed gardening, spending time with his dog, “Shuga,” and helping anyone and everyone that he could. His legacy will live on in those he loved in those who love him.

Surviving are wife, Donna Wright of the home; sister, Mary Boyd (Larry); brother, James Wright (Clarissa); children, Dorothy Wright (Junior), Martha Bain (Mike), Rhonda Fulp (Wade), Kathy Donaldson (Rue), Bobby Wright, Jr. (Tommi), Thomas McGuire (Amber) and Jared McGuire (Melissa); Grandchildren, Danielle Sims, Joshua Sims (Hope), Brian Bain (Jesica), Stephanie Bonilla, (Victor), Amanda Fulp (Brandon), Kristin Moyer (Brandon), Cassandra Donaldson (Braydon), Jacob Donaldson (Sarah), Tyler Wright, Conner, Autumn, Tidus, Jamie, Karlie, Liam and Oliver; great grandchildren, Braylan, Jayden, Mason, and Adelyn.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Patricia Wiles Wright; brother, Eugene Wright, and great grandchild, Xavier Bonilla.
