Bobby Carlton Haizlip

Bobby Carlton Haizlip, 78 of Eden, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at Wesley Long Hospital in Greensboro.

A funeral service will be held at 2pm Sunday, February 16, 2025 at Fair Funeral Home Chapel in Eden. Burial will follow at Pleasantville Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Madison, NC. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from 1-2pm.

Bobby was born March 16, 1946 in Rockingham County, North Carolina, to the late Floyd Haizlip and Ruby Kallam Haizlip. He was a member of Tri-City Baptist Church. He worked for Harbour Brothers Lumber Company as a sawmill operator for many years. He later retired from Aging Disability and Transit Services where he worked as a caregiver. Bobby enjoyed working on cars, doing body work and painting them. He enjoyed spending time with his family.

Surviving are seven children, Faye Ann Haizlip (James) of Eden, Carlton Lewis Haizlip (Janice) of Eden, James “Ricky” Haizlip (Ruth) of Caswell, Bobby Dean Haizlip of Reidsville, Kathy Lynn Haizlip (Kenneth Smith) of Eden, April Love Haizlip of Eden, and Darrell Wesley Hurd (Dorothy) of Eden; 21 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Billy Haizlip (Diane) of Reidsville, Charlie Haizlip (Wendy) of Ruffin, Patsy Evans (Daniel) of Ruffin, Connie Lovings (Peewe) of Reidsville.

In addition to his parents, Bobby is preceded in death by his loving wife, Brenda Brim Haizlip.
