Billy Smith Price

Billy Smith Price, age 80 of Eden, North Carolina passed away on Tuesday, August 24 at Moses Cone Hospital.

A funeral service will be held at Fair Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 4:00. Burial will follow at Overlook Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Friday, August 27 at Fair Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00.

Mr. Price was born on January 18, 1941 in Spray, N.C. to the late Fred H. Price and Bessie Jane Hall Price. He started working for his father at the age of fifteen, then worked at Veneer Graphics for eighteen years. He later owned his own business, Price Construction until he retired. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. He was dedicated to his wife, family and friends. He was a hard working, kind, humble and giving man to anyone that he came in contact with.

Mr. Price is survived by his wife, Ann Trent Price of the home. He is also survived by his daughter, Jennifer Ann Price “Jenny”, of Eden; sons, Scotty Lynn Trent of Eden; Billy Smith Price II of Eden and Frederick Anthony Price (Wendy) of Eden. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Matthew Royals, Emily Blevins, Chris Trent (Kristen Cassidy), Victoria Thomas (Kevin), Kendra Price, Kayla Price, Kristen Price and Nicholas Price; great grand children, Christopher Trent, Makayla McKenzie, Brian McKenzie, Kerria Foster, Nicholas Thomas, Willow Thomas, Noah Rice and Jerimiah Woods. Billy is also survived by his sisters, Merry Sunshine Gauldin and Wanda Reynolds.

Billy was preceded in death along with his parents and by his brothers, Junior Price and Philip Price and sisters, Bobby Jean Dixon and Christine Porter.
