Betty Dickerson Wilson

Betty Jean Dickerson Wilson was born on September 5, 1933, in Blairs, Va. She peacefully left this world on April 2, 2025. She was a devoted daughter, mother, sister, and friend whose life was a testament to love and resilience.

A graveside service will be held at 2pm Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at Dan View Cemetery in Eden. Visitation will be held Monday, April 7, 2025 from 5-7pm at Fair Funeral Home.

Betty was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Nanny Olene Dickerson East. She also mourned the loss of her son, Ricky Wilson, whose memories remained cherished parts of her life. Most recently, Betty lost her dear husband Marvin Clay Wilson in January, having been married for more than 72 years.

Betty is survived by her son, Danny Wilson (Ronda), her daughter, Teresa Collins (Russ). Her family continued to thrive with the blessings of two grandchildren and one great-grandchild, who brought immense joy to her life. She is also survived by her brothers, Freddie East, Ronald East, Danny East and wife Linda, and Randy East.

In her later years Betty was cared for with love and compassion by her son Danny and caregivers Linda and Danny East, whose dedication ensured she felt cherished and supported.

Bett Jean Wilson will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and the profound impact she made on those around her. Her legacy of love and devotion to family will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew her.
