Betty Sue VanHorn

Betty C. VanHorn, 70, passed away on Saturday, May 30th at Eden Rehabilitation and Healthcare.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, June 4th at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Fair Funeral Home with inurnment following at Dan View Cemetery. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Betty was born May 30, 1956 to the late Thomas Lester Chumley and Bessie Gibson Chumley. She was employed at the Rockingham County Hospice as a Nursing Assistant. Betty loved her family and enjoyed being with them as much as possible. She also loved her fur baby Patty.

Left to cherish her memories are her sister, Kay Billingsley and sister-in-law Della Chumley; numerous nieces and nephews, along with great nieces and nephews; several cousins, friends and loved ones.

Along with her parents she has been preceded in death by her brother’s; Jack Chumley, Ralph Chumley, Jim “Buddy” Chumley; sister’s Mildred Carter, Faye Chambers, Florine Ward.
