Betty Sue Fulcher Chatman

January 6, 1944 — May 24, 2016

Betty Sue Fulcher Chatman, 72, passed away Tuesday afternoon, May 24, 2016, at Morehead Memorial Hospital.

A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, May 27, at Ridgeview Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Chatman was born January 6, 1944 in Rockingham County, NC to the late Daniel Webster and Dollie Boulding Fulcher. She was a former employee of Bassett Walker.

She is survived by her husband, Tommie R. Chatman of the home; sister, Louise Fulcher Whitt (David) of Eden; step-daughter, Cindy Slaughter of Ridgeway, VA and Karen Gibson (Bill) of Eden; step-son, Tim Chatman (Lucy) of Eden; and nephews, Gary and Kenneth Whitt.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James "Buddy" Fulcher.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday (10 - 11 AM) at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home of her sister, Louise Whitt, 1187 Lincoln Street in Eden.
