Betty Lou Boaz Spencer

Betty Lou Boaz Spencer, 83 of Ridgeway, passed away Monday, April 13, 2026, at her sisters home in Eden, NC.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 11am at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Old Center Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

Betty was born September 6, 1942, in Henry County, VA, to the late Joseph Aubrey Boaz and Catherine Betty Lou Trent Boaz. She worked in quality control at Unifi until her retirement. Betty attended Wayside Baptist Church and Gospel Road Church. She loved going to church, reading her bible, and witnessing for the Lord, She enjoyed spending spending time with her family and friends. She loved being outside and working in her yard. She was outgoing, fun, and had an over the top personality, as well as making jokes and telling her stories. Her fondest memories were driving her motor home to the beach, with her family, and taking dune buggy rides with the kids. 

Surviving are her brother, Jimmy Boaz; sisters, Linda Fabrizio, Patsy Harris, and Myra Paschal; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, grand nieces, and grand nephews. She raised her husbands niece and nephew Daisy, deceased, and Jon whom she called her very own.

The family would like to give special thanks to her hospice nurse, Carol, and to special friends and neighbors, Greg and Lisa.

In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her dear husband, Patrick Henry Spencer; son, Patrick G. Spencer; sisters, Millie Abbott and Ann Nelson; and brother, Pete Boaz.
