Betty Jean Malloy East

Betty Malloy East, 82, of 9083 Hwy 700, Ruffin, passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at her daughters home.  

A funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 in Fair Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow the service in Happy Home Congregational Christian Church Cemetery.  
 
Mrs. East was born on August 18, 1934 to the late Raymond Malloy and Georgia Wright Malloy.  She was of the Baptist faith.  Mrs. East retired from Fieldcrest-Cannon Mills as a Weaver.  Mrs. East enjoyed traveling to the Beach and watching horses. 

Mrs. East is survived by her three daughters, Jean Domina (Billy) of Eden, Linda Moore (Ted) of Reidsville and Cathy Cook (Rodney) of Burlington; adopted son, Darrell Clark of the home; 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and her dog, Trixie.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Brackin East; two sons, Raymond East and Roy Leon East; sisters, Bertha Hayden and Gladys Brammer.  

The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 7 – 9 pm and other times at the home of her daughter, Jean 1208 Front Street in Eden.
