Betty Gray Corum Sigmon

Betty Gray Corum Sigmon, age 73 of 2029 Mill Ave. Eden, passed away on Saturday morning August 13, 2016 at Morehead Memorial Hospital.

A funeral service will be held 12 noon on Tuesday at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Sigmon was born November 9, 1942 in Rockingham County to the late Willie Pink Corum and Eva Mae Rickman Corum.  She was retired from Morehead Memorial Hospital in the Housekeeping Department.

Betty was a member of Redemption Point Church in Mayodan.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Phillip Sigmon, Sr. and daughter, Michelle Leigh Cardwell.

Surviving are son, Russell Sigmon, Jr. (Jennifer) and grandchildren Graham Sigmon and Taryn Willard of the home; son, Mike Cardwell (Nancy) of Lumberton and Terry Cardwell (Kimlah) of Kernersville; daughters, Anita Cardwell Causey (Ronnie) of Julian and Kim Brown of Pleasant Garden; brothers, Jessie Corum of Eden and Eugene Corum (Dorothy) of Stoneville; sisters, Gracie Roberson ( Charles) of Eden; brother-in-law, Roy Sigmon of Eden, 17 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6 -8 pm at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home.
