Betty Brown Denny

Betty Brown Denny, 79, of 453 Stratford Road in Eden, passed away Monday afternoon, December 15, 2014, at her home.

A funeral service will be held at 12 Noon on Friday, December 19, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Overlook Cemetery.

Ms. Denny was born May 5, 1935 in Rockingham County, NC, to the late Robert N. Brown and Nannie Martin Brown. She was a member of Immanuel Friends Church and a retiree of Fieldcrest Mills.

She is survived by her daughters, Pamela Denny Anderson, of the home and Billie Denny Cannon of Eden; son, Anthony Denny and wife,Kim; three grandchildren, Jason A. Anderson, Robert S. Anderson, and Joshua D. Cannon; one great-grandchild, Jossalynn Cannon; and sister-in-law, Mary Ann Brown.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Melvin Brown, Marvin Brown, Robert Brown, and Lester Brown; and sisters, Dorothy Ball, Elizabeth Burgess, and Claudine Cobb.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the Hospice staff and nurses for their care and support.

Visitation will be held on Thursday evening, 6 - 8 PM, at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
