Betty Barefoot Barham

Betty Wilson Barefoot Barham, 85, of Eden passed away Thursday, January 18, 2024 at her home.

A funeral service will be held at 2pm Monday, January 22, 2024 at Fair Funeral Home Chapel in Eden with burial to follow at Meadow View Methodist Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from 1-2pm, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel.\

Betty was born May 1, 1938 in Rockingham County, NC, to the late James Addison Wilson and Ellen Pruitt Wilson. She was a graduate of Brosville High School. Betty was an active member and volunteer at Trinity Wesleyan Church in Eden. She loved the Lord and her church. She worked as a spinner at Spray Cotton Mill for many years. Betty enjoyed word searches and “going to town.” She had a big personality and was loved by everyone who knew her.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Debbie and Roger Patterson, Donna and Pete Atkins, David and Sharon Jordan; grandchildren, Joy Patterson and fiancé Noah Gantt, Michael and Monica Atkins, Justin Atkins, Julianna and Daniel Martin, Ashley and Bryan Jones, Christina and Ryan Hall, Rachel and Robbie Mucilli, Hannah Barefoot, Savannah Barefoot, Jamie Barefoot, and Nicholas Barefoot; eight great-grandchildren; brother, James Booker Wilson and wife, Sandra Wilson.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Barham; son, Darrell Barefoot; sister, Brenda Brown.
