Betty Ann Tucker Warren

March 17, 1939 — November 2, 2012

Betty Ann Tucker Warren, 73, of 1227 Norman Drive,loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away Friday morning, surrounded by her family November 2, 2012, at Hospice Home in Wentworth.

A funeral service will be held 3pm on Sunday at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with visitation to be held one hour and a half prior to the service from 1:30 til 3 pm. Entombment will follow at Overlook Mausoleum.

Betty was born March 17, 1939 in Leaksville to the late Paul Oscar and Martha Rutledge Tucker. She was a 1957 graduate of Tri-City High School, the last graduating class before being named Morehead High School. She graduated from Charlotte Business College, she enjoyed working with the children for many years at the Eden YMCA. Betty was a volunteer at Morehead Memorial Hospital with 497 hours of service and a longtime member of the North Spray Christian Church.

She is survived by her two children, daughter, Novie Tuggle and husband, Ricky; son, Matthew Warren and wife, Renee both of Eden; four grandchildren, Christy Carter and husband, Tillman; Adam Warren and wife, Amanda, Brittany Pratt and husband, Jonathan, Rane Tuggle; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Gage, Tristyn, Aiden, Jackson and Alexa; neice Caroline Dishmon and husband Cory and nephew Roy Tucker and many close friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mert Warren and brother Bobby Tucker.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Dr. Paul Sasser, to Misty Richardson and Vee "Trick" Wade and to all the nurses and staff at Hospice Home in Wentworth.

The family will receive friends at other times at the home of her son, Matthew Warren, 239 Weaver Street, Eden and her daughter, Novie Tuggle, 345 Johnsie Billie Harris Street, Eden.
