Bettie Goard Eggleston

Bettie Goard Eggleston, 82, of 128 Greenwood St., Eden passed away at Moses Cone Hospital, Saturday May 28, 2011. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Monday at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Burial to follow in Overlook Cemetery. Bettie was born in Pittslyvania Co. Va. to the late William R. and Pauline Booth Goard, she was of the Primitive Baptist faith and retired from American Tobacco. Bettie is survived by her sisters; Myrtle Clark, Carrie Clark, Daisy Burgess all of Eden, and numerous nieces, nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by husband, Harvey Eggleston, brothers, William Goard and Chuck Goard. Visitation will be 7 until 8 p.m. Sunday at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home.
