Betsy Harris Pyrtle

Betsy Harris Pyrtle, age 79 of 200 Leaksville Junction Road, Cascade, Va. passed away on Tuesday June 7, 2011 at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County. Funeral service will be held at 6 pm on Thursday June 9th at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wayne Mayberry presiding and visitation to follow. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Mrs. Pyrtle was born November 11, 1931 in Draper, NC to the late Louis Marion and Esther Bateman Harris. She was preceded in death along with her parents, her husband Walter Pyrtle, 4 brothers and 1 sister. Betsy is survived by sons; Tim Pyrtle, Len Lewis, Jerry Lewis III and wife Sandy, daughters; Linda Douglas and husband Keith, Cindy Lewis and Jean Smart, grandchildren; Donna Spence, Lori and Joey Lewis, Tristan Pyrtle, Lauren Pyrtle, Jordan Pyrtle and Danielle Eppard, 7 great grandchildren.
