Betsy Redmond Brame, 64 of Eden, went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, April 16, 2026, at Annie Penn Hospital in Reidsville. She displayed incredible courage and unwavering hope after fighting a short but courageous battle with cancer.
A funeral service will be held Monday, April 20, 2026 at 1pm at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 19, 2026, from 5 – 7pm.
Betsy was born December 15, 1961, in Rockingham County, North Carolina, to the late Clifford Grey “Bill” Redmond and Ola Mae “Dude” Hall Redmond. Betsy graduated from Kerwin Christian School and then went to NC State University earning her degree in accounting. She also attended Rockingham Community College for business administration and management. Betsy worked for Rockingham County EMS for several years. She then worked for Rockingham County Economic Development and Tourism for 15 years, retiring as the Small Business and Economic Development Coordinator in January 2025 to spend time with her grandchildren. Betsy was very involved in her community, serving on the board of directors for the Eden Chamber of Commerce as well as on the Wellness Committee for Rockingham County. Betsy was instrumental in implementing county initiatives during the pandemic.
Betsy loved sports, having played softball, basketball, and been a cheerleader in high school. She loved being outside and working in the yard. Betsy loved the beach and finding a good sale. She was a Godly woman. More than anything, Betsy loved her family.
Surviving are her husband of 35 years, Scott Neville Brame; children, Morgan Smith (Greg), Tanner Brame (Kendall); grandchildren, Kinsley Smith, Hudson Smith, Hadley Smith, Micah Brame; sisters, Joyce Hall (Bruce), Billie Redmond (Kemp), Tina Massey (Sammy); numerous nieces and nephews; and long-time friends, Lori Cordle, Debbie Kallam, and Joy Moorefield; and special friend, Sandra Meadows.
In addition to her parents, Betsy is preceded in death by her special aunt, Betty Buckner, and brother-in-law, Bruce Hall.
