Barney Ray Strutton

Barney Ray Strutton, 89, of Eden passed away December 26, 2022 at Annie Penn Hospital in Reidsville, NC.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 2pm at Fair Funeral Home Chapel in Eden. Military Honors will be performed on the front lawn. There will be a visitation to follow the service.

Barney was born August 5, 1933, in Spray, NC, to the late Daniel Judson Strutton and Mabel Burchell Strutton. Barney served his country in the Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of North Spray Christian Church. Barney worked as an administrator in Fairfax County Schools in Virginia until his retirement. He loved to travel with his beloved wife, Lou.

Barney is survived by his son, Ray Strutton (Laurie) of Rocky Mount, NC; daughter, Joni Davis (Butch) of Virginia Beach, VA; grandchildren, Aaron Davis, Brynn Pecher, Russell Strutton, Daniel Strutton; great-grandchildren, Hayden Strutton, Wyatt Strutton, Kash Pecher, Saylor Davis, Harlow Davis, Alina Pecher.
In addition to his parents, Barney is preceded in death by his loving wife, Lou Ella Vaughan Strutton; brother, Joseph Lloyd Strutton.
