Barbara Leonard Meeks 68, of 343 Wilshire Drive in Eden, passed away Saturday morning, October 17, 2015 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro.
A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, October 20, at Overlook Cemetery.
Barbara was born January 3, 1947 in Rockingham County, NC to the late Buddy Preston Leonard and Cathleen Wilson Leonard. She was a former employee of Unifi and Gildan before her retirement.
She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Morey and husband, Bill, of Ridgeway, VA; two grandchildren, Jennifer Young of Ridgeway, VA and Sean Young of Virginia Beach, VA; and two great-grandchildren, Brayden and Laci Davis.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Meeks; sisters, Inez Burleson and Brenda Corum; and brothers, Wesley Leonard, Larry Wayne Leonard, and Roger Dale Leonard.
The family will receive friends at Fair Funeral Home prior to the service on Tuesday from 1 to 1:45 PM before proceeding to the cemetery for the graveside service.
