Ava Robertson Coleman, 86, of 176 Laurel Bluff Road in Stoneville, passed away Sunday evening, October 2, 2016, at Jacob's Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, October 6, at Stoneville Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Mrs. Coleman was born September 9, 1930 in Leaksville, NC, to the late Levi and Bertha Bell Robertson. She was a member of Stoneville Pentecostal Holiness Church and was a retired towel designer for Fieldcrest Mills.
She is survived by her husband, Paul W. Coleman; daughter, Paula Coleman and husband, Arthur Gibson; grandson, Christopher Smith (Wendy); great-grandchildren, Marissa Smith and Blake Smith; six siblings, Austin Robertson (Millie), Andrew David"A.D." Robertson (Shirley), Aaron Robertson (Eunice), Jackie R. Neal (Garland), Adrian Robertson (Connie), and Aileen R. Dyson (Jim); two sisters-in-law, Frances Robertson and Gloria Robertson; and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant son, Amos Levi Coleman; sisters, Alma R. Kriniske and husband Pete and Audrey R. Capalko and husband, George; brothers, Alton Robertson, Albert Robertson, and Allen Robertson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be no formal visitation.
