Arletta Mae Dillon Stowe, 76, of 303 Howe Street in Eden, passed away Wednesday morning, June 12, 2019, at her home.
A funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, June 15, at Trinity Wesleyan Church with burial to follow in Overlook Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening, 6 - 8 PM, at Trinity Wesleyan Church and other times at the residence.
Mrs. Stowe was born October 12, 1942 in Norfolk, VA, to the late Roy Taylor Dillon and Virginia DeHart Dillon. She was a graduate of Granby High School in Norfolk, VA and received her CNA from Rockingham Community College in Wentworth, NC. Arletta was a member of Trinity Wesleyan Church where she was a youth group leader in the past. She loved her God, her family, and her church family.
She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Larry Stowe, Jr. of the home; daughters, Bonnie Smith (Mark), Carletta "Floss" Boyd (Ronnie), and Penny Mayes (Jason), all of Eden; nine grandchildren, Chasity Powell (Chris) of Eden, Dusty Curry (fiancee', Kelly Goad) of Eden, Kelsey Henning (Tristan) of Japan, Taylor Brooke Scott, Tanner Mayes, Jason Jones, Maegan Jones, Shane Curry, and Eugene Curry (Ashley), all of Eden; 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Frankie Jones; brother, Phillip Dillon; and sister, Nancy Pruitt.
