Ardell Saul Stovall, 85, of 521 Ford Street in Eden, went home peacefully with her daughter by her side on Saturday, April 2, 2016, at Hospice Home of Rockingham County.
A graveside service will be held at 4 PM on Wednesday, April 6, at Danview Cemetery.
Mrs. Stovall was born August 13, 1930 in Spray, NC, to the late Charles "Wardie" Saul and Lelia Sams Saul. She was a retiree of DuPont after 35 years of service.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, John H. Stovall of the home; daughter, Karen Stovall Powell and husband, Kenneth R. "Kenny" Scott of Reidsville; grandchild who was like her son, Jon Richard Powell of Reidsville; four sisters, Faye Hill and husband, Ronnie of Eden, Ann Wright and husband, Jim of Pelham, Connie Cates of Eden, and Debbie Benton and husband, Sam of Eden; special nieces, Rhonda Hill Price, Kim Hill Marley, Sandy Wright Dillon and other nieces and nephews.
Known as "Gram" to grandson, Jon and special grandchildren, Sara Lynn Perrella, William Cox, and Taylor Kyer. They were the sunshine and joy of her life.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary "Maxine" Steiner and Margaret "June" Benson; and beloved son-in-law, Richard "Scott" Powell.
The family will receive friends immediately following the graveside service on Wednesday.
