Anthony "Todd" Smith

Anthony Todd Smith, 61, son of Bill and Joyce Smith of Eden, passed peacefully at Embrace Hospice House, Myrtle Beach, SC on June 7, 2025.

Todd was born March 25, 1964 in Rockingham County. He graduated from Rockingham High School and Attended NC State University for two years. He graduated with an associate degree from Hardbarger School of Business. He lived approximately thirty years in Atlanta, GA, working as a System Analyst for Ciba Vision and then Coca-Cola. Seven years ago he decided to move to Little River, SC, to live near the water. He worked for a while as an assistant manager at Bojangles and later in a shop repairing cell phones and computers. Todd had many loves or interests: computers; all electronics; the beach; scuba diving; NC State football; pets, especially his late dog, Abby; his Trivia group; friends and family.

Todd is survived by his parents, brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Katy Smith; aunt, Judy Shumate and husband, John; uncle James Lawson; aunts, Betty Handy and Gail Page; several cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his birth mother, Patina Smith.

A private graveside service will be held in the next few weeks.

Todd’s family thanks everyone for their love and support, especially keeping them in their prayers. They also send a special “thank-you” to his Trivia support group who have been there for Todd (and his family) through his illness.
