Anthony "Blaine" Korcel, Iii

Anthony "Blaine" Korcel, III, 71, of 319 Shannon Drive in Eden, passed away Wednesday afternoon, May 2, 2018, at UNC-Rockingham Health Care.

A funeral service will be held at 4 PM on Sunday, May 6, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Overlook Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service (3 - 4 PM) at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the residence.

Blaine was born December 5, 1946 in Washington DC.  He was a member of New Vision Baptist Church in Madison.  Blaine, over the years, had a paper route and was a machine opertator for Zarn, Inc.  

Blaine's family included many people including his sisters, brother, step-mother, cousins, nieces, nephews, caregivers and friends.  All were very special to him and blessed by him.  A partial list is as follow; Cindy Thomas, Sheila and Pete Simpson, Ann and Jim Barrington, Floyd and Joanie Thomas, Abbie Thomas, Vickie and Danny Scism, Mary Edna and Bert Sellers, Joey Coleman, Lynne and Don Brown, Mike and Debbie Leffew, Ronnell and Danita Wilson, two nieces, three nephews and spouses, six great-nieces, six great-nephews and many, many more.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gabriel Thomas and Lottie Mae Cundiff Thomas; grandmother, Edna Cundiff Taylor and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
