Annie Sims Wells

Annie Sims Wells, 91, formerly of Monroe Street, passed away Tuesday morning, January 5, 2010 at Brian Center in Eden. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, January 8, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Mt. View Cemetery. Mrs. Wells was born March 3, 1918 in Henry County, VA, daughter of the late John and Lucy Curry Sims. She was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are her children, James Wells and wife, Betty of Stoneville, Frances Barker of Eden, Ralph Wells and wife, Bonnie of Ridgeway, VA, and Inez Compton of Bassett, VA; 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Richard Wells; and sons Wayne & William Wells The family will receive friends Thursday evening 6 - 8 PM at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home of her son, Ralph Wells at 380 Old Leaksville Road in Ridgeway, VA.
