Annie Gentry Bradsher, 86, of 293 Garrett Rd., went to be with the Lord, Sunday afternoon October 13, 2013 at Morehead Nursing Center in Eden. The funeral service will be Wednesday October 16, 2pm at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Ridge-View Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Bradsher was born April 3, 1927 to the late Joe R. Gentry and Fannie Adkins Gentry in Mayodan, NC.
She was a faithful follower of Jesus, and before becoming sick she was self employed as a house cleaner and took care of others during her life.
Surviving are her daughters Lois Holliman of the home and fiance James Horsley of Ruffin, NC, Debbie Barker Grubbs of Greensboro, NC, Esther Barker Hedgepeth of Eden, one son Michael "Mike" Barker and wife Gladys of Eden, one sister Ella Peters of Stoneville, NC, sister-in-law Janie Gentry of Stoneville, NC, grandchildren Joshua Ziglar, David Hedgepeth and fiance Dawn Hooker, Daniel Hedgepeth, Gabriel Hedgepeth and Brittany Barker-Jones, great grandchildren Kyra Artis, Jade Hedgepeth, Hope Hedgepeth, and Faith Hedgepeth, and numerous nieces and nephews all of which were special to her. Preceeding her in death are her husband Lawrence T. Bradsher, two brothers John Gentry, Coolidge Gentry and sister Doris Payne.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening 7 until 9pm at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home.
