Anna Hill Matkins Martin

Anna Hill Matkins Martin, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, passed away Thursday, March 3, 2022, at 97 years of age.

A funeral service will be held 2pm, Friday, March 11, 2022 at Fair Funeral Home Chapel in Eden, with burial to follow at Roselawn Cemetery in Reidsville. A visitation will be held for 1 hour prior to the service at Fair Funeral Home.

Anna was born December 29, 1924, in Reidsville, NC, to the late John and Sarah Matkins. She was preceded in death by five brothers and sisters. Married to the late Garthan Martin of Eden, they were parents of two children; Dianne Martin Mode Lyle (deceased) and Barry G Martin, Sr. of Reidsville. Anna, a long standing member of Leaksville Moravian Church, never missed an opportunity to serve her Lord. A work career that spanned 45 years with Karastan as a cost accountant and a love of mathematics lead to a part-time job with H&R Block in Eden.

Those left to cherish her memory are Barry and Marie Martin, Barry “Butch” Martin, Jr., Ronda Elliot and Darrell Mode and many great-grandchildren.
