Angie Roland Lawrence, loving wife, extraordinary mother, devoted daughter, and cherished friend – entered the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 12, following a courageous battle with cancer. Throughout her journey, Angie faced each challenge with remarkable strength, unwavering faith, and a grace that inspired everyone who knew her.
A funeral service will be held at 11am Thursday, April 16, 2026, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel in Eden. A gathering of friends will follow the service at The Morehead-Fair House.
Angie’s greatest joy was her family. She treasured every moment spent with them and was incredibly proud of her two sons. Of all her roles, none filled her heart more than being “Nana” to her beloved grandsons, Hart and Hudson, who brought her endless laughter and happiness.
Angie graduated from Lees-McRae College and Greensboro College where she formed lifelong friendships she deeply valued. She devoted over 40 years of faithful service to Hanes Brands, building a respected and meaningful career in accounting. Angie was also a committed member of Osborne Baptist Church, where she joyfully served alongside her small group whenever there was a need, always willing to help quietly and sincerely.
Angie is survived by her devoted husband, Will Lawrence; her loving mother, Jean Roland of West Jefferson, NC; her sons, Pierce Lawrence (Mary Kathryn) of Huntersville, NC, and Josh Lawrence of Murray, KY; and her precious grandsons, Hart and Hudson. She is also survived by her uncles, Max Roland (Linda) and Bryce Lewis (Suzie), as well as many cousins and dear friends who will forever miss her gentle spirit.
She was preceded in death by her father, Claude Roland.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Angie’s honor to Ancora Compassionate Care, PO Box 281, Wentworth, NC 27375.
