Alva Spencer Holland

Alva Spencer Holland 83, of Stoneville, passed away December 21, 2018 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro.

A funeral service will be held 11 am, Wednesday December 26, 2018 at Horsepasture Christian Church with burial to follow at Stoneville City Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 til 11 am at the church and other times at his home. 

Mr. Holland was born in Madison County, North Carolina to the late John Spencer Holland and Maggie Parker Holland.  He retired as owner and operator of Holland Auto Body.  Alva was a member of Horsepasture Christian Church where he previously served as an Elder, Deacon and Sunday School Teacher.  

Mr. Holland was preceded by his wife, Janet Motley Holland; brother, Russell Holland and sister, Ranie Vartenisian.

Surviving are daughters, Dana Gearhart and husband Richard of Stoneville, Diane Stott and husband Edwin of Stoneville and Dawn Seltzer of Greensboro, brother, Clyde Holland and sister, Kay Higgins both of Ridgeway; grandchildren, Ryan Hendricks, Thomas Stott and Spencer Stott, great grandchild Xander Hendricks; special friend, Linda Lynch and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
