Allen Jorsey, Iii

Allen Jorsey, III, 23, of Reidsville, passed on November 15th, 2021, at Hospice of Rockingham County.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date, in the spring, being held at Shiloh Airport in fellowship and remembrance.

Allen was born June 19th, 1998, to Allen Jorsey, Jr. and Elizabeth Dobbs Jorsey.  He received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technologies from University of North Carolina, Charlotte, in December of 2020.  In 2019, while in school at UNCC, he survived the shooting on campus. He was a pilot, FAA Certified for Commercial, Multiengine, and Instrument Ratings. He was an avid traveler and plane spotter.  Allen was a member of the Civil Air Patrol and a volunteer for Samaritan’s Purse, DC8 cargo jet. In his younger years, he raised chickens and sold his eggs at Chinqua Penn Farmer’s Market.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Allen Jorsey, Jr. and Elizabeth Jorsey of Reidsville, NC; grandparents, Allen and Lynanne Jorsey of Port Orange, Fl, Robert and Ute Dobbs of Onancock, Va, Virginia Hines of Kernersville, NC; aunts, Deborah Richards (Coy) of Kernersville, NC, Sue-Ellen Taylor of Warrenton, Va; and cousins, Jack and Julie Taylor of Warrenton, Va.
