Alexa Grace Ussery

Alexa Grace Ussery, 19 of Greensboro, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2025 at her home.

A memorial service will be held at 2pm Saturday, July 26, 2025 at Fair Funeral Home Chapel in Eden. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Following the service, the family will receive visitors at 1125 Simpson St, Eden, NC 27288.

Grace was born March 8, 2006 in Durham, NC, to Regan Ussery. Grace enjoyed the beach and water. She loved her Mommy. Grace loved music and hearing her mother’s voice. She loved when her pets would climb in the bed with her or in her wheelchair. Grace loved spending time with her nana Allison. She enjoyed taking rides with the windows down listening to Modest Mouse. She spent a lot of time with her nurse Jennie who cared for her for 13 years. Grace was a miracle and lived a life no one could have expected, exceeding expectations. Grace graduated the class of 2025 from Haynes – Inman.

Surviving are her mother, Regan Ussery; grandmothers, Allison Younts (Glenn); grandfather, Mike Ussery; uncle, Evan Ussery; great-grandparents, Cindy Joyce, Jimmy Joyce, David Brooks; aunt, Hannah Jarrell; grandmother, Beth Presley; cousins, Claire Hatcher, Charlie Hatcher, Jamie Brooks, Hunter Brooks; great-uncles, David Brooks, Jr., Artie Ussery; great-aunts, Janet Brooks, Cathy Ussery; cousins, Audrey and Sam Hatcher, Holland and Ella Kate Brooks.

Grace is preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Arthur Ray Ussery and Catherine Cooper Ussery, Katherine Kallam Ratliff and Franklin Ratliff, and great-aunt, Jessica Brooks Hatcher.
