Ada Coleman Martin

Ada Coleman Martin, 94, of Reidsville, NC went home to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, July 14, 2023 while at her home. A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 am Tuesday July 18, 2023 at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. 

Ada was born February 11, 1929 in Leaksville, NC to Henrietta and John T. Coleman. Ada retired from Fieldcrest where she made beautiful Karastan rugs. She loved her church, Dan River Wesleyan where she served as Treasurer and Sunday School teacher and sung in the choir for many years. Ada and her husband Clyde spent their winters fellowshipping with friends in Lakeland, Florida. Ada loved playing the piano, cooking, and entertaining family and friends in her home. Ada was Clyde’s gift from God, chosen just for him and a wonderful friend to all.

Ada is survived by her husband of 74 years, Clyde Martin. Ada is survived by her daughter, Cindy Edwards, son-in-law, Corky Edwards, daughter-in-laws Grey Martin and Judy Rice, five grandchildren, Amy Turner (Kenny), Derek Martin (Brooke), David Martin (Hope), Carla Reid (Bill), Jennifer Kellam (Jarod), twelve great-grandchildren, Taylor Eubanks, Paisley and Penelope Martin, Zach Kennon (Betsy), Ethan and Aiden Turner, Jarrett Church, Seth, Macy, and Charlie Reid, Nathan and Owen Kellam, and four great-great-grandchildren, Easton, Emmie, and Evie Kennon, and Adalyn Raye, and numerous other family members. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother J.T. Coleman, and son, Leslie Martin.

Visitation will be held 10:00 am at Fair Funeral Home Chapel one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Rockingham County, PO Box 281, Wentworth, NC. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.fairfuneralhome.com.
